The Hotel Casa del Trigo, opened in March 2008, has been built on a nineteenth century building, a former grain store, which original façade has been preserved and restored and its interior has been adapted to the comfort and comfort. The reception, office-library, boutique, restaurant, two junior suites and six double rooms decorated with exquisite taste are located in the former family home. And where there once was a flour mill and where the wheat was stored, the other 40 rooms, celebrations room and cafeteria are now risen, perfectly integrated into the old structure of the family home. There are a total of 48 fully equipped rooms, cafeteria with outdoor terrace at street level, restaurant and a celebration room in the basement of the building, and a terrace with the best views of the Vega of Granada, open only in summer days. It should be noted the great work of restoration of the railings and woodwork of the house, especially in gateways. Here we see the carving of two lion heads, which has been taken as the symbol of the hotel, and the handrail to the first and second floor, carved with wheat spikes, dismantled piece by piece, sanded, treated, varnished and assembled back in the same place that it was made for the first time. |
